Perfect Sundays Is Out Now — See Us Both at World Dairy Expo
Updated: 4 hours ago
Farmer Angel Network is proud to share some good news: Perfect Sundays, a new six-part limited series about a farm family finding their way back to each other after unimaginable loss, is officially out — and a portion of proceeds from the series will be donated to FAN. See the trailer below.
⚠️Trigger warning: mentions of suicide.
Created and produced by Sam Goldberg — the same team behind the grain-entrapment film SILO — and starring Jim Parrack, Perfect Sundays follows a dairy farm household, two years after the death of their patriarch by suicide. As the widow tries to hold the farm and her family together, she launches an ice cream business built around a simple tradition: sundaes made from their own farm's milk, shared after church — "perfect Sundays."
Sam spent months getting this story right, including time spent interviewing FAN co-founders and volunteers as he developed the show, and he's described the goal simply: to "bypass the brain and go straight to the heart" and open the kinds of conversations that are often hardest to start out loud.
That mission is exactly why this partnership matters to us. Farmer Angel Network exists so that no one in a farming community faces the hard days alone, and now a national television project — one that leaned on our own volunteers to get the story right — is putting that same message in front of a much wider audience, and giving back to the organizations doing this work on the ground.
"Farm families don't always have the words for what they're carrying, but stories like this one give them a place to start. Sam spent months listening to our volunteers and other farmers to make sure this story was true to what farm families actually live through, and we're honored that Perfect Sundays is standing behind the work we do every day."— Christy Updike, Farmer Angel Network volunteer

What: A screening of the premiere episode followed by a conversation with Goldberg and Parrack about bringing farm family mental health to the screen
