Our Partners Are Helping Farmers Thrive

We’re proud to share how our partners are helping the Farmer Angel Network (FAN) support farmers and rural communities. Their generosity keeps our mission moving forward! Here’s what they’ve done in the last month:

Culvers, Prairie du Sac- Donated $10,000 in celebration of the “Green and Gold” Movie reaching 100,000 streams. FAN board members Christy Updike and Dorothy Harms shown here with the donation.

Charlie Berens | Cripes media | The Manitowoc Minute, Reedsburg - Donated 4 tickets to the Reedsburg show for farmers. FAN raffled these at summer events. Winners Jean and Jim Reisinger even got special seats on stage, backstage pass and time with Charlie himself. Inga Orth, Osseo - Farmer Former host of PBS's Around the Farm Table held a silent auction at her farm St. Isidore's Dairy, of her show items donating proceeds to FAN. She also invited FAN to have a booth at her fall market bringing the opportunity to talk to many people about the challenges they are facing and resources available to them. Brian Reisinger, author of Land Rich, Cash Poor: My Family's Hope and the Untold History of the Disappearing American Farmer, continues to include FAN at events raising awareness to challenges facing the future of family farms including mental health challenges. Rural Roots Unraveled , Loganville - Photographers Jen Hasheider and Morgan Ballweg spent an afternoon at Statz' Circle S Farm with owner and FAN co-founder Brenda Statz and family. They donated their time, photos, and proceeds from photo sales to FAN helping us grow our digital marketing content. Valley Springs Farm B&B, Reedsburg - Offered UTV tours of the farm during the annual Hill & Valley Exploration Tour donating proceeds to FAN. The farm and UTV ride shown here.

Public Health Sauk County, Baraboo - Created a lobby display during Suicide Prevention Month with FAN resources, gun locks, and other suicide prevention resources

Farm Transitions Grassroots Efforts, Spring Green - Many local key stakeholders volunteering time and resources to find ways to address challenges facing family farms transitions in Wisconsin. Including the Savanah Institute, UW Extension Agriculture, Pulling Together-A hanbook for community change author, Compeer Financial, Wisconsin Farm Center, Wisconsin Farmers Union, local farmers, and more.
