March 18, 2024 - Reedsburg, WI - Humbling, informational and inspiring!
Farmer Angel Network gathered with partners and community members to recognize the efforts of the group over the last five years.
The event began with the film, "The S Word", that is a story about suicide but a project about life. The film helps bring understanding to what those with suicidal ideation are going through. While it brought tears, it also brings hope that there is healing. Jodie Molitor, Health Educator, led a discussion following the film. Shawn Monson, counselor, was available for anyone needing further discussion.
FAN co-founders, Brenda Statz, Dorothy Harms, and Randy Roecker, then shared highlights of the groups accomplishments over the last five years. Organizations that have supported the group's efforts were given certificates acknowledging their in-kind and/or monetary donations.
Exhibits from community partners were available in the reception area. The event sponsored by Reedsburg Medical Center and the School District of Reedsburg was held at the CAL Center.
