FAN at the Blackhawk 4th of July Parade

Farmer Angel Network joined the fun at the Blackhawk 4th of July Parade this year, and wow—what a turnout! Thousands came out to celebrate, and we handed out hundreds of lip balms to help folks beat the summer heat.

The celebration has made its way back to Blackhawk in recent years, and it’s better than ever. Hosted by Blackhawk Bethlehem Church and Denzer United Methodist Church, the day is packed with old-fashioned, family-friendly fun. Think BBQ chicken dinners, pie, ice cream, soda, brats, hot dogs, toys, t-shirts, and games—all with a warm dose of rural hospitality and Christian community spirit.

Big thanks to FAN volunteers Danielle Sander and Scott Riddle for decorating and driving the truck in the parade. We’re proud to be part of such a joyful, welcoming event that brings folks together and celebrates what makes rural life special.
