Prairie du Sac, WI - Farmer Angel Network board member, Christy Wehler, was recently bestowed Rural Wisconsin Health Cooperative (RWHC)'s 2023 Rural Health Ambassador Award.
Wehler is a Transformation Program Manager at Sauk Prairie Healthcare, a member hospital of RWHC. Wehler facilitates a partnership between Sauk Prairie Healthcare and Farmer Angel Network. With her work on the FAN board, she helps connects resources from SPH to the needs in our farming community and helps ensure that SPH services align with the needs of our community including implementation of new mental health services and suicide prevention training for healthcare providers.
The Rural Health Ambassador Award recognizes healthcare employees who have gone above the call of duty in promoting their respective organizations, while making significant contributions to rural health. Wehler was nominated for the award based on her work with Farmer Angel Network and suicide prevention efforts in Sauk County and surrounding counties.
