Trigger Warning - Green and Gold movie has scenes and talk of suicide and suicidal ideation.
PRAIRIE DU SAC, WI — April 11, 2025 — After sponsoring the hit movie "Green and Gold," Culver's is stepping up again to support the agricultural community as the film starts streaming. The Wisconsin-based restaurant chain will donate $1 for every stream of the movie, up to $100,000, to three organizations that help family farmers and promote agriculture education. These are Farmer Angel Network, the Farm Foundation-led Farm Family Wellness Alliance, and FFA. These groups provide essential programs and support for farmers and future agricultural leaders. With these donations, Culver's aims to highlight the crucial role of farmers and agriculture while giving them the resources they need to succeed.
“Culver’s has always had a heart for agriculture, and ‘Green and Gold’ tells the story of so many of the hardworking, dedicated family farmers responsible for feeding our guests at Culver’s and people everywhere,” said Alison Demmer, Culver’s senior marketing and public relations manager. “It’s been an honor to help shine light on the unique experience of the farming community through this movie, and we’re proud to support three organizations doing incredible work to uplift farmers around the country.”
Directed by Anders Lindwall and filmed in Door County, Wisconsin, "Green and Gold" tells the touching story of a Wisconsin dairy farmer named Buck (played by Craig T. Nelson) and explores themes of family, chasing dreams, overcoming challenges, and taking risks—including a big bet on the 1993 Green Bay Packers. Available now for rent and purchase on various digital platforms.
