Farmer Angel Network Recognized at Community Foundation's 25th Anniversary Celebration

September 12, 2023 - Baraboo, WI - Community Foundation of South Central Wisconsin celebrated their 25th anniversary with a "Chamber After 5" event at the Baraboo Arts Center. The Foundation invited Farmer Angel Network (FAN) to showcase our work at the event.

FAN was humbled to be selected as one of 25 nonprofit organizations to be highlighted of the 469 nonprofits in Sauk County. These 25 organizations were showcased because of the big difference they are making in the community with the help of the Foundation.

FAN board members Dorothy Harms and Christy Wehler attended the celebration having the opportunity to share FAN work and resources and network with other area nonprofits. The Foundation surprised each of the 25 nonprofit organizations with a $1000 grant for professional development, capacity building, strategic planning or similar work that strengthens the nonprofit. This was a complete surprise for which we are greatly appreciative.

FAN has established a donor-advised fund with the Foundation to obtain benefits of 501(c)(3) status, fund management, and their reputable impact and assistance for local nonprofit organizations. The Community Foundation of South Central Wisconsin's mission is to strengthen and honor the communities we serve by inspiring philanthropy, supporting area nonprofits, and providing leadership to meet local needs and serves Adams, Columbia, Iowa, Juneau, Richland, Sauk, and Vernon counties.
