Sandy grew up on a dairy farm in Manitowoc County and served as the 4H and Youth Agent in Sauk County for twelve years.

She volunteers with Farmer Angel Network to show support of agriculture and farmers in the area.

Sandy lives in Wisconsin Dells, WI with her husband and their dog Greta. She enjoys flower and vegetable gardening, traveling and nature.
