Mental Health First Aid Training: There is No Farm Without the Farmer
Wisconsin Farmers Are Nearly 4 Times More Lkely to Die by Suicide
Yet, farmer suicide is preventable. Mental Health First Aid teaches you to recognize warning signs of farmer suicide and how to keep them safe. You will also learn to notice changes in a farmer’s appearance, behavior, thoughts, and feelings that can signal a change in a farmer’s mental health. You will also learn strategies to successfully intervene and assist farmers to recovery.
Who should attend Mental Health First Aid training: farmers, farm families, farm workers, neighbors, friends, ag suppliers and agribusiness employees. You are in the best position to notice changes and act to keep farmers safe.
Registration includes 6 hour training, beverages and lunch.
Located at Elderflower Retreat at Hillside Pastures of the Savannah Institute.
